TREE CARE

Unlike tree removal where a completed job is obvious, Tree Care requires more trust since many times the work and quality of work is not seen by the untrained eye.  If you invest in your trees, you'll get the most for your dollar from an arborist-a professional tree man.  Our circular expands on our many qualifications.

Consider these points in choosing your arborist:

SPRAYING

Spraying-There are thousands of diseases and insects that may attack your trees.  Likewise there are hundreds of controls and applications possible to affect proper results.  Problem identification and timing of spray are the most critical factors.  If you are just getting a general spray without an arborist trained in insect and disease recognition, there is a good chance that spray has little or no control value and is merely wasting your money.

PRUNING

Pruning-Trees must be pruned to remove dangerous dead and diseased wood, over growth and improve the trees appearance.  Cost of pruning is determined by labor time not on amount of wood removed.  Unlike tree removal where you can see exactly what you paid for, pruning requires expert recognition of the proper treatment, to know your getting your moneys worth.  If a man half pruned your tree and charged you for a complete job-would you know the difference?  Probably not, since without going up into the tree there would be many branches even a professional arborist couldn't see.  Because of this only professional arborist with credentials, a reputable background and organization which would substantiate his expertise should be entrusted with the pruning of your valuable trees.

FEEDING

Feeding-Needed to replace nutrients not naturally replaced by soil.  Unless tests show your tree requires specific treatment,16-8-8 fertilizer should be used at 2 lbs. per in. of trunk diameter and placed in the soil at the proper depth.
